Univocity was created by Gordon Collins from Glasgow, Scotland. Gordon was an English and Media teacher in Secondary Education for over 20 years and also worked in an Integrated Communication Disorders Unit for 7 years, having trained as a specialist in Autism Studies. He believes that our need for authentic connection is at the heart of who we are and essential for our personal development.
Univocity, often in collaboration with charity Reel People Scotland (and other creators), aims to nurture such connection by creating and providing inspirational films, writing courses and creative projects which combine language development and creativity to improve intellectual and emotional capacities and enhance overall well-being.
Gordon has both an honours and Masters degree in philosophy specialising in developing our understanding of the 'Self, Identity and Happiness'. So, Univocity also offers courses/projects for community groups/organisations to explore and develop a deeper understanding of who we are and how to find satisfaction and fulfilment in our daily lives with the help of practical philosophy.
At specific times throughout the year Univocity also offers a variety of courses for English in Secondary Education/College and also as a second language.
