Univocity was created by Gordon Collins an English and Media teacher in Secondary Education in Scotland with over 20 years experience. Gordon also worked in an Integrated CDU (Communication Disorders Unit) for 7 years, having trained as a specialist in Autism Studies.

Univocity are passionate about improving our need for authentic connection (to ourselves and others) which we believes is at the heart of who we are and essential for our personal development.

Univocity, often in collaboration with individuals, community groups and other creators aims to nurture such connection. We do this in many ways, primarily:

*by collaboratively creating films/writing courses

(any form, including prose, poetry and philosophy in various genre).

                                      And

*by producing collaborative projects which combine language and personal development by using creative forms as a medium.

Our main aim is to work closely with others to help them tell their own story and to find and express their authentic 'Self' and voice. We do this by modelling and then developing creative, expressive, intellectual and emotional capacities in others to enrich and enhance overall well-being.

Gordon has an Honours and a Masters degrees in philosophy and is deeply interested in exploring and developing our understanding of the 'Self', identity and happiness.

Univocity also offers courses/projects for individuals, community groups or any type of organisation to explore and develop a deeper understanding of who we are and how to find satisfaction and fulfilment in our daily lives with the help of practical philosophy.

and what does it mean ?

Who are we and what do we do?
